Happy Monday! It is officially Thanksgiving week and I am so excited! I honestly can not wait to eat all my favorite foods on Thursday! Todays blog post is all about stocking stuffer ideas for any woman in your life. When it comes to thinking about things to put in someones stocking it can be a little hard. You have to think about what that person likes and what is small enough to actually fit in the stocking! All of these items are perfect for girly or cozy loving girls! I personally love getting Christmas socks in my stocking….I have at least 10 different pairs lol. Another great stocking stuffer is candy and DVDs. I know everyone uses Netflix or Hulu but every year I make a list of 3 movies on DVD that I want that year. DVDs a great way to show that you know what the person likes.

Tips for not Breaking the Bank this Holiday Season

Happy Friday! I am so glad it’s Friday because I am now officially on Thanksgiving break and I couldn’t be happier. Last night I went out to celebrate one of my best friends birthdays and as your reading this I’ll be making the trip back to San Antonio to spend the week with my fiancé and our families.
First off, lets talk about this outfit! I love a simple black outfit with some accent colors! But I think the real show stopper of this outfit is my Gucci belt. I got this belt for $18 on Amazon….yes you read that right…$18!!! If you are on a budget like me then this fake Gucci belt is the perfect accessory to add to your closet. I have always wanted a real Gucci belt but I just can’t justify paying $400-$500 for a belt so when I found this dupe I had to grab it! It also comes in a brown color that is on my wishlist!
Today I wanted to talk about the holidays and how often we can all go over budget when buying holiday gifts for all the people on our list. I can tell y’all, Mark and I are on a serious budget this Christmas because we have a wedding to save for. Here are my tips in saving money this holiday season:
1. Make a list and budget for each person on your list- I do this every year to make sure I never forget anyone! By making a list of everyone you have to get a gift for, you get a visual sense of how many people are on the list and from this you can start budgeting how much you are going to spend on each person.
2. Start buying gifts NOW- Start getting gifts early! By doing this you are giving yourself more time to think about or scope out what you want to give each person. It also allows you to spread out your budget over a longer period of time.
3. Make DIY gifts- A personalized gift is such a sweet gift and it can make it really meaningful for the person you are gifting it to. Some examples of DIY or personalized gifts I’ve given or received are a scrapbook of photos, a picture in a picture frame, a personalized phone case and a personalized coffee mug. These are all great gifts that come from the heart.
4. Look out for amazing sales/Black Friday/Cyber Monday- SALES SALES SALES! Keep an eye out for stores that you know people on your list love so that when they have a sale you can grab something from the specific store. Also I know Black Friday isn’t for everyone but if you do decide to venture out take advantage of Black Friday. Research which stores have the best deals and which ones you can make the most bang for your buck at. For example, a big store like Best Buy or Target, you can knock out multiple people on your list by going to a big store with a wide selection of things. And if you aren’t up for Black Friday then check out Cyber Monday for amazing deals all from the comfort of your own home!
5. If you’re really on a budget, take yourself off the list- Because Mark and I have to save for the wedding, we decided not to get each other gifts this year. I know it kind of sucks but you can save a good chunk of your money by doing this. Mark and I always spend about $100 on each other so I know we will be saving a good amount of money.
I hope these tips have helped you in saving a little bit of money this holiday season. The holidays are a time to be with friends and family so its not all about what you get someone its about spending time with the people you love.

Happy Monday! Who’s excited for another gift guide…I know I am! Todays gift guide is all about the men in your life! If you are like me shopping for guys is so so hard! I always struggle with getting the perfect gift for my fiancés dad, my fiancé, and other men in my life. So I found these amazing items that would be perfect for any guy in your life!
Clothing– Clothes are always a safe bet if you know the style of the guy you are buying for. For many years I have bought Mark(my fiancé) clothes for Christmas because he loves getting new clothes just like me lol and its something he will often use.
Accessories– Sunglasses, watches, bags and other accessories are all great things to get any guy in your life. They also make great stocking stuffers. If they have an office job or have a strict schedule then a watch would be the perfect gift for them. I absolutely love the Herschel toiletry bag because most guys don’t keep all their toiletry items neat and tidy when they are traveling, guys tend to just throw all their stuff in their suitcase and go so this small bag is perfect for any guy that you know who travels a lot or just needs to keep his stuff organized!
Cologne– Every guy likes to smell good so a new cologne is the perfect gift. A lot of different brands also come out with holiday sets during the holidays so you can get a set with different scents so that they have a couple scents to chose from.
Sneakers– If you have an athletic guy you are shopping for this holiday season then you can never go wrong with a new pair of sneakers or other workout gear for them!
Lounge Wear– If you’re shopping for your dad, step dad, uncle, or just any guy who loves to be at home then some cozy lounge wear is a great gift. A nice robe or some Christmas pjs are great for them to wear around the house in the mornings when they are drinking their coffee.
Tech– If you’re shopping for that guy in your life that is obsessed with all things tech related then a new speaker is a great gift. My uncle is obsessed with all the new gadgets that come out during the holidays so anything tech related is a great gift for him and something I know he will love.
Over all, its just important to think about who you are buying for and keeping in mind what they like. The holidays are all about giving and not just the gift but it always means so much more when the person you are giving the gift too can tell you really thought about them and what they would like.

Thanksgiving is right around the corner and I can’t believe it!! Todays look is a Thanksgiving day outfit idea for if you want a cozy but still dressed up look. Every year for Thanksgiving we usually stay at my house and our family comes over. Since I’m at home I tend to always want to be more comfortable especially since I know how much I’m about to eat lol. A simple skirt and sweater duo gives you that cozy and comfortable look that you want to be comfortable but also allows you to dress up a little bit. Even though we celebrate Thanksgiving at my house, I still like to get a little dressed up so this outfit is perfect for that!

How to Use Like To Know It + The App

Like to Know It, in my opinion, is the best way to shop! It is a such a great tool for bloggers and non bloggers! Plus it saves you so much time on shopping. Today I wanted to share with you how to use Like to Know It, specifically using the app!
First, What is Like to Know It?
The Like to Know It app is a way for people to shop their screenshots and likes from multiple places like Instagram, Snapchat, and Pinterest. By downloading the app you can screenshot or like any LiketoKnowIt enabled image and shop the specific item you liked/wanted in the picture!
So why should you sign up for Like to Know It?
Like to Know It makes it so much easier to shop. Instead of going onto your favorite site to shop and then having to search for the item(s), which can take a while, all you have to do it screenshot or like the image and the details of each item in the picture will be right there in the app for you to immediately shop!
So how do you sign up?
Its super easy and fast to sign up. All you have to do is go to www.liketoknow.it and click the sign up button. All you have to put in is your email and name and then you’re good to go! Once you sign up, you can download the app and sign in to your account on their as well!
Now, How to start using Like to Know It!
Once you download the app and log into your account, head over to Instagram and screenshot or like any picture that you want to shop! In a couple seconds you should then get a notification saying that your image is ready to shop in the app! Head over to the app and click on the image you screenshotted and instantly shop that image! Following your favorite accounts on Like to Know It!
Another way to shop using the Like to Know It app is by following your favorite accounts and influencers! They just added this new feature and I have personally been obsessed with it! All you have to do is search with the search tool your favorite accounts name and it will take you to their page and then you click the follow button! And BAM all the people you follow will be added to  the “My Influencers” tab on the bottom of the app so all you have to do is scroll through that to shop your favorite accounts!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And there you go! You can now shop easier and faster! The Like to Know It app is perfect for this time of year, with all the sales coming out before the holidays. Holiday Gift Guide for the Beauty Lover

Its finally November, which means its officially my favorite time of the year! The holiday season is my favorite because it makes you realize what’s important in life and how we should enjoy in the little moments with the people we love. But I also know the holiday season can be a very stressful time, I know it is for me. It’s when you have to start thinking about what you’re going to get for all your friends and family, or even those Secret Santa or White Elephant gift ideas. If you’re like me then coming up with things to get for people can be a little tricky and honestly very stressful. This is why we are starting early with the gift guides so that you have plenty of time to get the perfect gift for everyone on your list!

When it comes to beauty and makeup products, it can sometimes be hard to find something specific for your special beauty lover because you may not know their foundation color or favorite brand or favorite lipstick and you don’t want to just get them a gift card to Sephora or Ulta so getting them a gift like these with multiple products in them makes it easier. I am so glad it is finally sweater weather….at least it in in North Texas! I woke up to it being 41 degrees in Lubbock and honestly I loved it! This weather reminds me of when I lived in Maryland. The cold crisp air was magical. I miss living in a state that has all four seasons. Cozy sweaters are the best for the fall and winter because they are so comfortable and cozy to keep you warm in these colder months. Every company is coming out with the cutest sweaters this season and I want them all haha. I love that the bell sleeve trend is continuing into the fall and winter seasons because a lot of these sweaters with bell sleeves are the cutest! Black & White Everything + Life Update

Another week, another Monday! Today I wanted to share this adorable black and white outfit along with a little life update because life is a bit crazy right now! I love sharing posts like this so that y’all can get to know me a little better!
Wedding
About two weeks ago Mark and I toured 4 potential wedding venues. They were all gorgeous but I think we found the one!! It was the first venue we toured and its the one I originally wanted so I love how everything worked out that way. Its absolutely gorgeous and I can completely see Mark and I getting married there. The best part is that it fits perfectly into our budget! Our budget was definitely one of the deciding factors for which venue we picked because as college students we are a bit limited. Right now Mark and I are trying to finalize all our priority vendors and make sure we are budgeting properly!
School
School has been kicking my butt. Senioritis is soooo real lol. I originally planned to graduate a semester early but things didn’t exactly work out so I will be graduating in May 2018. I’m honestly ready to be done with school but at the same time a little scared because the “real world” is scary!
Health
Now if you didn’t know I have been having a whole bunch of health issues recently with my shoulder, jaw and ears. About 3 months ago I popped my shoulder funny and it never fully healed but after doing a whole bunch of exercises for it, it is finally starting to feel normal again! My jaw and ears have been a whole other story….about 2 months ago I began getting this popping/uncomfortable feeling where the hinge is that connects my skull and jaw. I had gone to countless doctors and many of them said it was probably TMJ. TMJ is when your jaw pops or locks when you open and close it. All the doctors said it will go away on its own and that there wasn’t much we could do. It was driving me crazy though because I have only been able to eat soft foods. Y’all don’t even know how bad I want a burger lol. But anyway its been 2 months since it started and it still hasn’t gotten better so finally I went to a TMJ/jaw specialist and he finally told me exactly what was wrong and how we can fix it! SO basically he said that my jaw was in my ear canal and thats why my ears have been popping nonstop and why my jaw has been pooping as well. My bottom jaw is too far back which is putting the hinge into the socket of my ear canal. And I thought the TMJ was only on my right side but apparently its on both sides of my jaw. So yeah thats been a bit crazy but I am just so glad that someone finally told me exactly what it is and how we can fix it. Although I still have to eat soft foods so no burger for me for a while.
But anyway thats enough about me and my crazy life ha. Black and white are two of my  favorite colors and one of my favorite color combos. I’m a neutrals girl so black and white are right up my alley. Vests are one of my favorite things to wear during the colder months because you can throw them over a chunky knit sweater or a dress. They give a simple sweater or dress a whole new look! If you live in one of the hotter states, I especially like them because they are perfect if its a little chilly but not cold enough to wear a jacket because they keep your back nice and warm!

TGIF!!! It was a long week for me so I am so glad its over. Midterms suck! But anyway I wanted to talk to y’all today about some must have dress for the fall and winter time! As most of you know I am a college student and now a bride to be so I am on a major budget right now!! Which means that I am trying to find all the best sales and deals so that I can still add to my fall and winter wardrobes. Dresses are a must for me during this time of year because they look so cute with riding boots, over the knee boots, and scarves! Especially living in Texas it can get really hot even in the fall and winter so a dress with boots is the perfect solution to not having to wear pants! I love shopping on Shein for a lot of my dresses because it is so affordable! All of the dresses I have linked, along with the one I’m wearing, are all under $30!! That is such a steal, especially for a cozy, thick sweater dress. The dress I am wearing above is so soft on the inside which I love because it makes it so much more comfortable to wear! This dress also comes in 3 other colors! I am 5 feet tall and wearing a size small for size reference. I highly recommend dresses for the fall and winter because you can accessorize them in so many different ways. Next time I wear this dress I can swap out the scarf for a belt and add a cardigan which gives it a totally different feel! These dresses below are perfect for fall and winter because they are staples in any ones closet and some of them have pearl detailing, ruffled sleeves, and are off the shoulder which is very on trend right now!
